In 1717, Bach moves to Köthen as court musical director. Here he composed the Brandenburg Concerts.
Leipzig - The peak of creativity
In Leipzig Bach holds the position as choirmaster of the Thomaner choir and "Director musices" for 27 years. He takes charge of the "Collegium musicum". Bach dies in 1750. His final resting place today is in the Church of St. Thomas.
