Conditions of participation
Quiz competition To take part in the quiz competition, answer all the questions, fill in the registration forms and send them off to the German National Tourist Board (hereafter 'GNTB') by clicking on the "Send" button. The electronic record of receipt of this data is used to determine adherence to the deadline.
Participants Participants must be aged 18 or over. Anyone under this age must obtain permission from their parent/guardian before taking part. Supplying personal details that are untrue invalidates entry to the competition.
Excluded from the quiz competition Employees of the GNTB and their relatives are not permitted to take part. In the event of these entry conditions being infringed, the GNTB reserves the right to exclude entrants from the quiz competition. Anyone making use of help from unauthorised sources or gaining an advantage by other unfair means will also be excluded. In such cases, prizes may be retrospectively rescinded and revoked where necessary.
Administration and operation Responsibility for administering the quiz competition and for the choice of prizes lies with the GNTB and its partners. Winners are notified by the GNTB in writing or by email. There are no cash alternatives to the prizes. Claims are not transferable. The GNTB must be notified of any complaint in writing within 14 days of the reason becoming known (please quote quiz competition). Complaints made by telephone and late complaints will not be accepted.
Premature termination of the quiz competition The GNTB reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the quiz competition at any time without prior notice. In particular, the GNTB will exercise this right if for technical reasons (e.g. a virus in the computer system, manipulation of or a fault in the hardware and/or software), or if proper administration of the quiz competition cannot be guaranteed for legal reasons. If such a termination is caused by the conduct of a participant, the GNTB may demand compensation from that individual for damages arising.
Data protection Personal data is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the German Federal Republic's Federal Data Protection Act - Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) - and Tele Data Protection Act - Teledatenschutzgesetz (TDSG). Quiz competition participants must supply a first name, a surname and an email address; supplying a postal address and a telephone number is optional. Data is stored until the draw to decide the winners has taken place; it is then deleted. Participants may withdraw their permission for the collection, storage and processing of their personal details at any time by sending an email to info@d-z-t.com. The GNTB undertakes to observe data protection requirements and media laws with regard to details held about participants. In particular, data is treated as confidential.
Miscellaneous Recourse to legal action is not permitted. These conditions of participation and the entire legal relationship between participants and the GNTB are governed solely by the law of the German Federal Republic. If any individual provisions of the conditions of participation are or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. These conditions of participation may be modified by the GNTB at any time without separate notification.
